This game is amazing. I can't believe it. I cannot describe in words how great this MMORPG is. That said, let's move on to the review.
Graphics: 10/10
The graphics in this game are superb. There is virtually every climate imaginable in the numerous zones. The way the graphics engine renders hot jungles, spooky forests, barren wastelands, snowy peaks, etc. is amazing.
The first time I entered a city, I was crossing a bridge over a valley, looking at statues depicting Warcraft Heroes. When I got to the actual city, I saw the commander of defense, sitting on his horse, never tiring in the protection of his homeland. I soon entered the trade district , with epic music playing. There were kids running around, merchants selling cheese and wine, guards shuffling positions and most importantly - other people in the game, doing things. Whether it be submitting a quest, to exploring, to just going to the local tavern to have some ale, it never gets tiring, or ceases to amaze.
Sounds: 10/10
From the sound of the dagger being thrust into your opponent to the giant war hammer bashing someone - or something's - face in, the sound in this game is awesome. You grow to love the sound of a fireball being charged up, as it never gets old.
Music: 10/10
I just LOVE how the music in this game fits each zone you're in.
Epic music as stated above in a capital city. Quiet music for the recluse-like elves. Desperate music for bandit-infested wastelands. Creepy music for the undead areas, and spooky places. In my opinion, music is a key factor in any game, because it shows a mood.
Gameplay: 10/10
The gameplay is simple to understand, but hard to master.
You have to learn how to play your specific class. A mage shouldn't be meleeing, a warrior shouldn't be shooting his gun for main damage, and the hunters (ranged class) should not be meleeing, unless forced to.
Playing solo in this game is not impossible. In fact, it is great. While you may need to group for some of the tougher quests, it is generally better to solo. Apart from soloing, there are instances, which are like dungeons. These dungeons require a party to complete. The enemies you fight in instances have a small attack boost, and an astronomically high amount of life. The rewards for this is great gear.
This game has one of the best gameplay I've ever seen, though it is difficult to describe.
Player versus Player combat: 10/10
Player versus Player combat is great too. The two factions (Horde and alliance) are at war, and midgame are forced to share zones with. On a PVP realm, you can be attacked almost anywhere, anytime. Say you're out killing enemies. Someone of the opposite faction could just come along and kill you. But here's the cool part - you can do the same. It's great fun.
However, on a PvE server, you must toggle PvP on and off. It's much safer this way, as you're not constantly in danger. However, some say that this degrades from the 'adrenaline rush' concept of PvP.
As for the third realm, it's RP, which stands for Role-Playing. On these realm types, you must act in character. Not act like you would in real life, but how your player would.
Replay Value: 10/10
Once you get the character of your choice to the max level with the best gear for that class, and are kind of bored of it, guess what? You can always start a new one and experience a different class. It's great.
Let me remind you that this is an Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. (MMORPG) This means that other people from around the world will be playing with you. This is what makes the game great. You may be about to die, from too many enemies, and then, possibly, a friendly player may come and save you. The possibilities are endless.
Overall: 10/10
This is one of the most fulfilling games I have ever played. Do not let it pass by you, especially if you are a Warcraft/MMORPG plan.
